Anyone know of a mechanical fuel pump capable of feeding a 600-650HP Bigblock? 1/2inch line and sending unit

Your the first i know of to speak good of them. I like the clay smiths pump but you may or may not have to grind on the pump body some

I run a Clay Smith pump on my 505" street engine. The pump did require a little grinding to fit, but so far it works good. Havn't raced it yet, but they claim it can feed a lot more power than my engine makes. And I have 1/2" pickup and line as well.

Clay Smith on my 416 as well. Been on there 6 or 7 years now and no problem.

carter high pressure mechanical with holley regulator dead head here. 600 hp 496. 3/8 line. this is the first pump i've never had issues with. it's been on the car for almost ten years!

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

I run a Carter mechanical without a regulator,3/8 pick-up and line, Quickfuel 830, can't remember the part number of the fuel pump off the top of my head but I don't think they make the pump anymore. My 505 is just below 600HP and I've had no problems. Granted, mine isn't a race car but I've been at wide open throttle for well over 1/4 mile without fuel starvation symptoms appearing. In spring I'll use the LM2 to see if it leans out at WOT.

I suppose if this pump goes I will have to try something different.

The Edelbrock pump claims to support 600HP.

I run one on my stock 383 since it is USA made. Works good for me. Put about 7,000 miles on it so far. Not making 600 HP though

I want my fair share

havent heard much good about the race pumps either...will those clay smith pumps work with nitrous as well, or do you need to get another pump to help out?
