Took my car to the track the other day and this happened on my second run. It seems my car rolled forward and I knocked out the top yellow light, but when I did finally make it down the track and recieved my slip it had no information for my lane on it. Was there a malfunction or was it just my dumb azz?

Sounds like a DQ to me. Sears Point? (I know it's Infineon now, just can't do that...)

What did he do?? I see him sitting there, the bottom stage light went out and the red lit up..

It was not a time run so not sure if that matters. I think I just blew it by rolling forward and then killing the engine just a bad run all around. Actually I am a bit embarrassed to post it but wanted to get some opinions.

I still think you rolled backwards out of the beam and I would guess it was caused by the stiff headwind at the same time your came off the brakes..

Maybe its time to use the line lock while your waiting on the green..

Probably staged really shallow and then stteled out the beam. Why they red lite you so fast is beyond me.

Are you sure it rolled backwards? To me it looks like after you were fully staged with both bulbs lit you let off the brakes(brake lights went out) and you simply rolled forward for a redlight.

Exactly why I think he rolled back.

You rolled back out of the stage beam. That is an automatic red light. Once the tree is activated you get an instant red. You got no time because the system sees your action as if you left before the tree is activated.

Even a red should give the times and speed info.

Looks like his red light came on before the other side tree started coming down.

That would be consistant with being DQ'd

As already pointed out the car moved out of the beams backwards. The reason for the instant red was it was the other car was staged, all four bulbs on, no option when someone moves backward or totally out of the beam but to DQ them. Just the way it is.

Wish I could have gotten over to chat Herb. Always enjoy shooting the breeze with you and admiring that cool GTX you have. BTW the linelock idea is a very good one for the launch.
