Im tryin to wrap up my 360/410" approx 11 to 1 iron heads, victor intake, hyd roller, 904 with 4500 convertor, 4.30 gear 3300 lb footbrake car. Which would be best for max performance and bottom end also.

Hello Joe.....go with the 950....The 950 carb will have throttle responce like a 750 because they both share the same size venturi at the top of each bore...1.375

But the 950 has a large 1.750 butterfly in the base so it never gives up or quits pulling down the track....

A Holley 830 is a large ventur 1.590 at the top with a smalle 1.720 butterfly.....Now that makes for a slower/lazy bottom end and not enough some times for the top end.....Jesse @ BIGS!!

I never really liked the 830s.
I used one on a 340 awile back and it performed just as good/bad as a 750 3310.

Do you already own both carbs? If so then why not try them both and see how they work on your combination? Those two carbs flow roughly the same but they are different designs. One or the other might just work better for you but you won't know until you try them. If you don't own either one then that is a different question.

Dave....we use the 830 allot for circle track applications that are ran on larger 3/8 to 1/2 mile tracks where the RPM of the engine stays above 4000RPM....with high speed turns and low end throttle responce isnt that critical.....

In most street/strip applications either the 750 will be used or the customer will go strait to the 950/1000......Jesse @ BIGS!!

I have heard other people with SB strokers say they're running 1000-1050cfm carbs on these motors.
I'm in the same boat right now as i run a 750hp on my 408 and was wondering if a 950hp would be a good investment for my motor? Or should i even go larger?

A 950HP isn't much bigger than a 750. They both have the same size venturi, the 950 just has bigger throttle blades. I doubt you would even see much of a difference between those two carbs on the dyno. Might see a little difference in throttle response.

I run a 830 Holley with a 750 Pro Form center, didn't get any gain with the center section, so I tried a 850 BG Silver claw, 1000 Race Demon and a 1050 Dominator, The Barry Grants ran about the same as the Holley, the Dominator took some work to run as good and was still lazy, I'm sticking with my Holley with the Pro Form, Much more consistant and just as fast.Every car wants something different...

On my 416 with W2's the 950HP was .3 and 3 MPH better than a 750.
