i read on another mopar related web board,that ron francis has been sold traded hands to an over seas owner,,and they are starting to cheapen stuff up..any one know of this to be true ???

i was planning on rewiring one of my cars with a ron francis kit,since in my eyes they are the only after market wiring people completly mopar friendly,,

if i'm not mistaken, "ron" retired and his kids were running the show. i sorta remember something a few months back about the business being up for sale or already sold.

have no input about the rumor.
I felt that he started the whole rod harness biz, and would have bought his if I had gone that way.
I have not used any of the different kits, so I have no first hand on that. There have been recent threads about harnesses on HAMB,

OK here is what i cant believe,,, after asking this question,, i returned home to find an E-MAIL from RON, of RON FRANCIS,,im assumeing he reads this forum,,i am going to try to copy and paste his e mail to me,,im glad he did,,

I'm Ron Francis and I am alive and well. I do have my son-in-law in charge and my daughter still works there. I am retired but handling the email and some new products stuff. Hope this helps dispel the rumor that we were sold to an overseas company. Sounds like something a competitor would say.

yes i was happy as a pig in well you know,,,to get an e mail from ron,,,and know he is still in busniess,,i am going to have to call them again and pick there brains,,i want a complete kit with what i need,,,hoping i dont have to get stuff i dont need,,to do a complete rewire on my pro street barracuda,,i want to run the factory style altenator with seprate regulator,,,be able to have mopar electronic ignition as a stand by and run my MSD unit,gauge disconnet kit,and factory ignition switch,,,im sure ill have to order it thru them verses at a lesser price thru summit,jegs,speed way,just a little confusing reading there book,,,seems there are a lot of add ons,,that seem nessasary,,,still a little confused
