Does anyone know whether or not any of the aluminum 1969 6 bbl intakes were used on early production 1970 cars? If so, for how long? Thanks guys

Yes.. some A12 intakes came on some early production 70 V-code cars. Sept-Nov maybe even later..

They were used on cars built at least into November and possibly later. The cast iron intake was also used at this time.

Just curious, what determined the intake you recieved? Was the aluminum intake an option?

The iron intake replaced the aluminum. A bit cheaper I expect. Chrysler used up the aluminum pieces as the iron units were brought on line. There ended up being an overlap in useage. I am not sure if anyone figured out the rhyme or reason on what got aluminum or iron during the time both were being used. I assume they just used what was on hand at the plants at the time the cars were being assembled. And the aluminum units were used up over a period of time.

is that the actual build date or the "scheduled" build date?

I think all the birds had a scheduled build date of Nov 30.
