The rear springs have been rebuilt on my 65 Imperial and now the rear of the car sits way too high. The car is in the middle of a ground up restoration and not presently running/driving. All running gear is installed. I have loosened each rear shackle to be sure nothing is binding. Question does the car need to drive a while for things to "settle"? Is there simply too much pressure between the leaves with the car sitting for the correct height? Or did the spring shop make them too stiff? I have tried to bounce the rear of the car like you do when you test a shock and it is so stiff I can barely bounce it. Will the car settle down when driven or do I pull the springs and take them to the spring shop and have the arch rechecked?
