Car is a 69 GTX. Engine will be 500 inch stroker from a 400 block. 4 speed car. I want to install a new aftermarket rad. What will fit without cutting and still cool this engine? What are you using in your car? Is aluminum the best way to go? Thanks

I bought a Summit rad. Haven't installed it but the application is the same as yours.

I'm using the "stock style" aluminum rad from Mancini on a similar type build. It fit well with stock hoses and cools great. Idling in 90+ weather with the AC on it will creep up to 185-190 max. I've matched it up with a MP high volume water pump slightly overdriven and a clutch fan.

I bought this Afco rad from Mancini. It has the side brackets on it and you just line it up and drill the holes in the bracket where you need them. The direct bolt in factory lool alike rad was $550. so I bought this one as it was $349. and it fit right in. Ron

I also run an aftermarket afco rad. Cools great, just had to drill some holes to make it fit.
