I'm thinking of getting a practice tree I'm looking at the Biondo Trees 3 or 4 with the gas pedal attachment. I'm a footbrake racer do they help? Which one should I get?

3 has regular lights, 4 has leds and a blind feature. I've had both and 4 is the way to go.

I have the 4, version 2, the newest model. I believe it helped me greatly in being able to see the lights. I'm a foot brake guy but have been using the supplied button. No complaints from me. Once you figure out how to change all the settings its a piece of cake.

yes they help, I didn't like the gas pedal feature. anything that works the hand eye coordination helps. I think playing video games help in that area.

Went with a "Pocket-pal". Comes with a remote button ( which I don't use ) and I believe you can buy a foot switch as an accessory. At first I didn't think the hand / eye / foot coordination thing was for real, but I just use the stage button on the panel ( below the screen ) and it has deffinetely made me more competitive.

So hitting a button with my thumb in practice will help me mash the gas with my foot on race day?

I've been doing it for what will be 12 years in June. My average light in the old Dart was a .533

This is pretty silly, but I record the NHRA races on Tivo.. When both cars light both bulbs, I hit the PAUSE button as soon as I see yellow..

After the screen pauses, I then look at the pre-stage lights to determine if I beat them or they beat me and then look at each cars reaction time.. FWIW.. I'm slower 24 outta 25 times.. lol
