3 has regular lights, 4 has leds and a blind feature. I've had both and 4 is the way to go.

I have the 4, version 2, the newest model. I believe it helped me greatly in being able to see the lights. I'm a foot brake guy but have been using the supplied button. No complaints from me. Once you figure out how to change all the settings its a piece of cake.

yes they help, I didn't like the gas pedal feature. anything that works the hand eye coordination helps. I think playing video games help in that area.
