How much gain E/T MPH, I'd like to go very low 11's is it possible?

Current .030 over 360, 9.0:1 comp 230@50 .480 lift cam, 915 heads uncut 2.02/1.60 valves, KB107 pistons, 1 5/8 headers, 3500 converter, best 11.75 @112

New Same 360 11.0:1 comp 253@50 .525 lift cam

With ootb Eddy RPM heads? Ported? Better place to spend the money than the E heads?

no other changes

I assume it is the Comp 305 magnum hyd you are considering. I think if you want to run a cam with similar specs in a 360 that you might be better off with a solid. I believe that cam in a 360 would want a 6500-7000 shift point, which approaches the limits of a hyd lifter. I also think that cam would want a 4500+ converter.

I already have the cam it is a Comp 305H, How would it work with a single plane intake and the 4500 comverter.
The iron heads were supposedly ported and have long valves. Shift at 6000? I really don't want to turn it more than that.

You should really find out what the motor wants as far as shift RPM, test it to find out when you get a chance Tachs can read different than other tachs, even the same brand and model

Why do you want to limit the shift point to 6000 on a 360? Those things will go 7000 for years and years. What does your car weigh? My old Scamp years ago had a .030 over 340 in it with 11 to 1 compression, MP 557 solid cam and Eddy heads, and you're current extrememly mild 360 is already running the same numbers my 340 did. Mine liked a 5000 flash 8" converter and 4.30 gears with 28" tires. I trapped at 7000 with that motor.

I'll guess the car weighs about 2900 on the line.
It has a cast crank and stock rods I'm afraid if I get too carried away I'll have a big pile of scrap metal. I'm saving for a better bottom end
