hay guys just want 2 see if this looks to be in order.... ...........rea. .296/1st. 1..683/2nd. 4.897/et 7.637/mph 87.628.....motor is a 30 over 340 j heads mild port work comp 520/540 soild 1.5 roller rockers and a xcel. intake with 950 hp 80fr/88bk no pv small tube headers 727 trans 9.5 verta 5000 and 27/10.5 qtp need new tires it has 02/03 springs and long mp shocks 4.57 gears...i leave on about 2000 and shift at about 6200.....car is up on the 7000 chip so fast plan on so slicks next year...more tune the better oh and i mix 93 with 111 race gas....do you think that big tube headers will make it better

Forget the reaction time.... whats the 60' 330 and
660... old worn tires wont tell you much

0. was 1.683 and the 330 was 4.879 60 a 7.637 hope i got it right....mph was 87.628

I wouldn't run big tube headers,I run a 360 simular combo and from the el-cheapo 1 5/8 to the high dollar 1 3/4 to the 1 7/8 all ran the same, only good step headers 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 TTI's made any difference and it wasn't much. You have way too much carb, all you need is a good 650 or 750 Holley carb, along with traction.

yea i plan to try this thing 1 more time friday if it dont rain... took it down the road today and tried diff. ways to leave i tried from a dead stand burn the tire off ,i tried from 2000 burn the tire off and from about 2500/2700 and burn tire right off couldnt go any higher wants to spin the tire......going to try the timing when i get back to the track.......go info and help so please keep it comeing guys.....oh 1 more thing on the verta cacul. on slip is it 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile cause i put in my # for the 1/8 mile and get 24% and thats not right i hope

The cal is for 1/4... if your not set up for 1/8
mile you would spend too much time below the stall
which would give you bad data

Going to a big tube header can hurt your bottom end.

yea I thought about that mr.p cause my car is set for 1/4 but we only have a 1/8 mile track close and 1/4 about 1hr or so away.....thought about putting my 5.13 in it for the 1/8 mile but will just burn tire off it worst i think.....or fall on its face before with the short tire..... as for big tubes killing my lowend yea I had fig. that as well thats why I went with the small tubes......thanks for the help and happy holiday to all

i think it has more with a diff. verta and a tire....maybe a 8'' verta and a 28/10 or 29/10 thought about a gear change to 4.88 an a 29 slick right now by the tach i cross the line at 5000...what would be the diff. in the 4.88/29 and the 4.57/27 rpm wise and mph/et...thanks for all your help and keep it comeing guys im going in the right way....oh by the way beat up on a freind with a 80 some modal z28 with a 350 in it 28/10 slicks had room at the end to pump the gas pedal on him about 4 times hahahahah gotta lov ethis little small motor....
