Hey Mike,
That looks familiar! I had Jon place them together for a better reference. You are 100% correct with regards to picture positioning. If I receive a photo of the VIN (straight on) I can position the characters exactly as the original.

Could just be that. Regardless, even if they were off a bit I would still think they were outstanding. Hopefully, if I can get my Challenger Convertible project done (and I am just finishing disassembly) I would like to finish mine off with a full set from ECS to complete the project. It will kind of be a nice finishing touch I think.

Unless you have one of those 70 Daytona's, NO sticker

A friend of mine with a couple of Daytona's just emailed me saying there were VIN decals on them. All I can say is WOW I never knew that. Since turning 50 this year I thought I couldn't learn anything else!!! LOL

Neither of my 1969 Daytonas have a factory vin sticker on the back of the drivers door. I understand that it started sometime later?

Yes, '69 Daytonas were one of the first Mopars, if not the first, with the VIN decals. Remember, they were slated to be a '70 model year release until MaMopar decided to push them quicker. I believe the reason for that was the up-and-coming Sept. '69 Talladega race and the fact that the '70 model year would require far more street production units.
