My first one was an A5 Silver 74. I sold it to a Chevy guy and he promptly painted it white! It is now in a pile mostly and he wants to sell it, but can't find a buyer. Everybody that looks at it wants to know why he painted it. Chevy guys just don't understand. If it had been a basket case that might have been different, this was a nice well optioned original car that ran and drove nice!

That car is amazing, It is also the only other 360 4 speed I have ever seen other than mine. Mopar Muscle article
Mine is originally JA5 silver with a black stripe but the previous owner did all the body and paint then lost interest. When I bought it all the pieces of the car were in boxes in the trunk. I too have the short snorkel air cleaner.

Here's another one. RM21L4, D21, KB5. Only it has a 360/380 Magnum after the NOM gave up.

The poor old 73/74 era was almost totally forgot about. Even most of the Mopar people looked disinterested with them. But they are the last gasp of an era gone by.

I agree 100%. I've owned my '73 Dart Sport 340 since 1976 and it's undergone a complete, ground-up restoration. The Dart is a true TX9, black on black California car. I've never had it decoded by Galen (although I've done the decoding myself), but I imagine it's a pretty rare car, too.

It's about time people got over this silly notion, promoted in recent years by the car magazines, that the "muscle car era ended in 1972." No one denies that performance took a significant hit after 1971, but the later cars were far from being "boat anchors." After all, the term "performance car" is relative.

I'm always amazed when magazines fawn over a '72 340 car (240 net hp) and talk about it's hot performance engine, but then turn around and refer to a '73 340 car (same 240 net hp) as a "smogger." This just shows how ill-informed some of these "experts" truly are.

Anyway, I love the '74 Roadrunner. Great job on the restoration!

I love the 73 and 74 Satellite/RoadRunner body style. Very nice looking. My first Mopar was a 74 Charger with a 440. Not exactly the same, but I agree about the ride. A friend of mine is currently restoring a 74 RoadRunner GTX, red with white strip and white interior, 440, bench seat, auto-on-column. Judging by his previous restorations, it should come out very nice. Can't wait till he's done with it.

Your blue 74 360 4 speed RR is beautiful. I know I'd love to own it!

Unfortunately no repro sheetmetal for the back is available at all.

I'm having some problems finding the front and rear exterior window chrome trim for my 73 roadrunner. Some parts are hard to find. for this year.

It would be nice if the after-market would wake-up and realize there are plenty of '72 and newer owners who are trying to restore their cars, and have cash in hand to spend on reproduction parts. Unfortunately, this situation will never end as long as the so-called muscle car "experts" keep telling the hobby that anything newer than a '72 isn't worth bothering with...

How much do you know about '74 Roadrunners? I would love to find someone "in the know" on these.

There isnt much out there as far info and even most mopar guys shun them. Would love to pick someone's brain...
