Is the portion of the cable that fits on the back of the speedo treaded or push fit?

San Diego, Ca,
I tried taking mine off. I just reached under and grabbed it. I unclipped the clip and pulled the sheath off, but the cable was stuck and I could not get that off. Any trick to it?

There is another SB that describes a dealer mod that makes tampering with the speedometer cable more difficult. I was not able to find it on Barry's site, but I believe it is there.

Found it.
If you haven't looked at what Barry has to offer on his website, Hamtramck-Historical, your missing out on a very interesting and important resource.

Thanks for the info Bill. I must have a broken snap clip as I can seem to secure the cable properly.
