Yeah, I try not to buy midwest cars!
Very little rust on this thing. Mainly little spots down low where the dirt blocked the drains.
Eat your heart out, this is not even hosed off yet, just as it was pulled apart and flipped.
The shiny spots in the middle are welded up holes.
The stuff around the rear wheelwells is very minor surface rust.

Um, the Yellow A-108 is long. You are a fine one to toss around 'short'!

Ran

"Hey mister, something's wrong with your car, it idles roughly" - number one comment I got in Israel when daily driving a 70 Barracuda with a lopey cam.

Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto
Finally - disc brakes on the front.
In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

Thanks guys! It was fun cruising around. Got some wiper refills, so it shouldn't rain for a few months!
The 100 is holding for now, I need to get the soda to blast it.
Will work on the engine on the 108.
Still haven't met Bob here, although I did say Hi at MATS.
Here's the other complete 108 in the area.

Took the to a local Mopar car show yesterday, and even though it's a low buck driver, I got 2nd place in the truck/jeep class!
Found a picture online of it.
Going to mountain Motor Madness next weekend. This is a show at the college where I painted the van.

No progress to report on the van, work and other stuff is filling the time. I did grab a bunch of stuff from a 1970 A-108 in the local yard.
A front axle with the big drums for the 108, a pair of solid side doors, just in case I find another van but I'll pull the linkage out so the 108 works right.
Also a few other little items and a steering column/box for my friend who has the PU in my backyard.
Really hoping to get the thing blasted soon, then prime it all and weld in the patches. Still haven't decided on SB or BB.
I have a design for the interior in mind, but not all the little details yet.
Still need to pull the doghouse off the 108 and do all the stuff on the /6; replace alt. bracket, scrub down the engine, change out the t'stat and hose, drill out the broken intake stud, swap manifolds and carb, paint it all up and install the chrome VC.

Thanks for posting all these updates, and especially the underside pics, as those are priceless.

I'm working in a 1/43 scale A-100 and it's time to work on the frame rails, crossmembers, and floor so those pics are very much coming in handy, both here and on the Vintage Vans 'site.

you are welcome. I've got more pics detailing the underdash and the area under the floor where the wiring, brake pedal and linkage, E brake brackets and throttle all travel at home. I took them to help assembly. I can post them next week. I doubt you will replicate them on a 1:43 model though!
There are nice diecast ones in about 1:25 too. I got the phone co. version from my SO.

Yeah, not taking this one that far, but the underside pics were a huge help.

What is that right angle bracket for, the one centered on the last crossmember, just forward of the rearend? It's not for the pinion snubber, is it?

There was no snubber on the rear axle.
I can take a look Monday.

Here's the one on the 69. Note that this one has the rear shackles upside down, moving the rear axle away from the body...
