Huh, IRS! I wonder what vehicle is that from.

Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto
Finally - disc brakes on the front.
In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

I thought so too, but when I posted about it and uploaded the pics, I looked again and that's under a truck (see the running boards and brackets?).
An IRS would make different trans and engine placement easier, since the driveshaft would only have to connect to 2 solid objects.

Went to the local U Pick it today to get some stuff and avoid the 2 other vans that are rolling around in my head. Got lucky and found a 64 window van in there!
Got a bunch of stuff and will go back tomorrow to cut out some more.
Will post pics later.

Score!
Got a lot of good parts and the wheelwells as shown in the last post.
Hate to cut up a nice, rust-free body, but it's fate was already decided when it was dragged to the yard.

Nice scores! You finally found a decent rear chrome bumper. I'm very glad

So am I!!! It's got a bit of a tweek, and is a little rusty, but the best yet!

The econoline guys are going nuts over a van in the local yard. I stripped a few items Tuesday, and will be going back tomorrow. Lots of work and money out at Christmas/tax time, hoping that it all works out.

Nice score. It didn't happen to have any front bumper guards did it?

Just some pictures from this afternoon to show where it's at today. The brackets are for the rotisserie when I'm ready for that. Still have some metal work to finish and straighten out the roof. That will happen next semester in the paint class.
I've been busy stripping an A-100 and an Econoline in the local yard. The vintage van guys want parts!

In the pic from the rear those flairs look pretty good.

Well, I signed up for another semester of body shop, so I hope to get all the metal work done by the end of class.
Then onto blast/prime/bondo/block paint.

Got some more metal work done on the van, still need to patch in both rear wheel wells and the LF nose where I pulled it out. Also need to work the roof.
I'm stopping work on the van for now and working on some golf cart plastic. A few of us here go to the MATS each year, and buying a cart was cheaper than renting. Got it running well, just needed to make it a bit prettier. All parts are removed and sanded down. Need to repair a bump on the 2 nose parts and a tear on one seat upright, then prime and paint at the college.

Well, I went and did it, bought another A, this time an A-108.
I will just clean this one up a bit and drive it, while I work on the 100.
I swapped the Cragars on and installed the bumpers that were laying in back.
