Here is a picture of I believe a 1965 Race Hemi. It was posted on another post. I can not find the picture I have of the 1964 motor. B G Racing is correct in his evaluation of Chrysler Parts from 64 and 65. There were 3 different heads put on the 1964 Hemi alone.

Sorry Chris, I thought you said this alt pulley was 3 1/4", which is correct ?
and it appears to be more like 3 3/4" in the picture. And yes "YOU" are correct I do not know what I need, "SO all the LOOKING"
as I get different answers.
The 65 A-990 Alt pulley was,,,, 3 1/4, 3 3/4" ?
And gang I have e-mailed Kramer a few times with no results !

Yup,more experts and Gurus, they will boggle your mind. Buy a set of Repops and move on. Anyone with originals will want a arm and a leg and they probably won't be correct or the real deal.Good luck with Kramer

Agreed ! What Do you think the Alt diameter pulley is ?
Do you have a Brass Tee fitting, fuel line , 3/8" center and 5/16" both ends ?

Called Kramer, their alt pulley measured 3 7/8"
I'm buying that.
Don't know why Hemi Eddie is selling a 3 3/4" stating original copy for 65 or 68 hemi cars. :whi

Jeff, come on up to the hogpen and if you find what your looking for you can have it.Screw those restoration and purist high dollar "Ripoffs" What is an "Original copy"?ROTFLMFAO,should read a copy of the original

this 9ought to be interesting. i have a repro one from Kramer and it measures 3-1/4.
i also have 2 originals at 3-1/4. so i wonder what Kramer is selling now.
3-7/8 is the wrong size for your application.

Keeping in mind the 64/65 race hemis were desiginated for drag and oval track racing, that as mentioned, the engines could have come with a variety of pully configerations either buy design or mistake from Chrysler either in production or over the counter sales.
We check 4 different pulleys(suposedly stock) and depth of v and diameter varyied from 1/8 to 1/4 inch.Depth of pulleys are quite different for the thick and thin dampners as well as some dual crank NASCAR style flush pulleys that used spacers. Some have a heavy rolled edge and others a thin rolled edge. There is no solid definite answer since Chrysler outsourced some of the production. Some were made by American Auto Parts,Dana and other MFGs.I'll leave any and all exacting deminsions to the "experts".Find a set the looks and fit correctly and be happy

.593 sound ok for an oval track crank pulley? Belts are a matched set 3/8 wide. They look like they sit down pretty good and won't get tossed at 6.5K.
Found a water pump pulley with grooves at .687. Belts look almost lost in that one. But they sit like the vintage photo I have of the engine I'm restoring. (got REAL lucky there...)

Thanks for the reply!
