You know, I almost bought a 742 peg leg case the other day and went through it myself (hell, I did rebuilt everything else in the car..)
I was ordering up parts and decided to splurge and order one with new 3.55 gears and sure-grip the other night.
I'm sure it'll be OK, I was just a little ticked when I opened the bag...

I've rebuilt 3rd members that have adjusters that look as bad. I have a spanner wrench but that doesn't fix what has been done by the guy before me.
May be ugly but its just cosmetic if the gears are setup right.
