I just bought a complete 5 speed out of a 99 dakota with a v6. It was basically free. I took the trans, bell housing slave cylinder blah, blah, blah. My question is a. what kind of trans is it and b. can i get it behind my 440 e body? Anybody? Thanks

NV series truck transmission. No way of getting it behind a 440 that I know of, but it may be possible. It's a large unit and is said to require extensive floor/frame mods to fit in a car.

I don't think it would last long behind a 440 either...

not a chance you'll cut the floor all up and try to hammer it in, and on top of that it will bloa up on the 1st hard pass.
