I HAVE A OLD MP BOOK THAT SAYS THEY DID NOT START WITH CAST CRANKS UNTILL 74. I HAVE A 72 440 CASTED IN 71 IT SHOULD BE STEEL CORRECT??

The introduction of the cast crank in the 440 was announced in TSB 09-01-73C dated October 11, 1972.
