Looking for your experience with Edelbrock Victor head and your choice of rockers. Ive had issues with rocker to retainer clearance with my current rockers and i am looking to replace them with T&D 1.6 ratio rockers.

Id prefer not to outlay for the T&D's only to find out I have to clearance them, to suit my 1.625in springs.

What rockers and springs size do you run with your victors and did you have any rocker to retainer clearance issues?

I have used the 1.6 - 1.7 Harland sharps on several engines with the victor head and the geometry is excellant, the sweep pattern is always great. I presently still have them on my 9 second race car.
No issues at all.

Thanks for all the responses, Ill most likely go with the T&D rockers. Ive been running Hughes rockers for 2 years, but they had to be clearanced extensively to fit the 1.6in springs. I believe the new Hughes rockers have larger reliefs, but I really like the look of the T&Ds.

My retainers are not designed for lash caps. Would you recommend running the spacers under the shafts to raise them 40 thou instead?

FWIW, I think the guys on here running Indy 440-1 heads w/ T&D rockers had the same problem when using springs bigger than 1.55 OD". You might want to find out if T&D has made any changes to account for this, or you're liable to have to do exactly the same thing all over again.
