How's Patrick been doing with the Bee? Any new progress pics?
Scott

No he's kinda at a stand still at this point My RR is taking up garage space right now. Just got my sandblasting cabinet back up and running so we have a buch of little stuff he gets to blast and paint over the winter. The temp has been in low teens so he/we cant do much out side. But we did get a very nice L-H door he needed last week.
I will get some pics of the blasting and painting and post them soon

he needs a L-H door glass for a post car if any one has a lead on one.

Very Cool Duster Mike!! The 70-71 Duster is my favorite A body!!!

Tell him not to sand off those Super Bees on the rear quarters until the car is near completion - you've got to have a reminder of what you're working for!

Great looking projects and better yet congrats on doing a father and son project.

My dad and I had done a few projects some of them for others and two we started on and sold before getting finished.

Our last project together is a 70 Coronet R/T. This car has been put on hold as I had a stroke and my dad is leagely blind now.

So enjoy the time and spend a lot of it with him he wont forget it and either will you.

Congrats.

Jay just read your post here on this page.
very HAPPY & SAD story on your project with your dad. Wish mine was still talking to me (long story)to do a car with.
I also have a 70 Coronet (318, auto, Burnt Orange and in sad shape) that will be my 2nd sons (Joe) and my project. He has a few year to go before we get started on that one as he is only 9yrs old. But he is helping on Patricks Bee so he will have an idea what he is instore for.
Patrick pulled the column out on Sunday and started cleaning it up for paint. Trying to teach him not to get in a hurry and to get some of the easy stuff cleaned and ready to reinstall after we get the body and paint done.
As of right now he wants to paint it bright yellow with black interior and black Bee stripe, but you know kids the color may change in a week or a month.
We will keep everyone posted.

Thanks to everyone who has posted words of encouragement it meens a lot to Patrick and myself!!

Dan & Patrick

Excellent job with the kid Dan!!! Looks like another 'new-generation-old-school' gearhead in progress. Refreshing. Are you in Western Washington?
Great stuff--A kid learning how to do it himself (with your guidance of course).
