Round three
Barton 8.49@156 over Howes 8.56@154
Daniels 8.56@155 over Pancake 8.54@154
Hard 8.503@156.92 bye run
Hard vs Barton next round and Daniels with the bye. Very lose racing and I believe most are cutting lights in the double 0's.
More clouds and temp should be down more. The finals should be around 6-7 tonight usually right before first round of pro stock.

Daniels on the holeshot win over Barton!!!
8.56@155 to Bartons 8.55@155.
They ran the hemi final between funny car and top fuel rounds. Tons of people to see very cool.
Congrats to Daniels!!!!!

As a side note, when Daniels blew the intake off this morning, he used dental impression material to seal it. He was lucky to make it back in time for the first round. Great day for the Hemi cars. Read all about it soon on NHRA.com.

WOW! Congrats to Jim D... The real joy of it all is his young son (Toterhome schooled) there all the way with him. They have a fire issue in the parade lap and come back and win the whole sucker! That will be talked about in the family forever. Of course good job Super Dave. Barton stock up! It was a great day!!!! Stephen

Heres some pics from INDY. Some from elimination rounds and more so from out in the pits. I never did find the southland flyer cars and of course Hess' cuda wasnt there so no pic of it either.
Again awesome day of racing. Now we get to see how many stay for SS runoffs. Thanks again for a great show.

Not sure what you mean? Would it be better to call them grenades?

I might be missing something, but is that rear spoiler on Mike Booker's Cuda legal? I remember a small spoiler being an option, but nothing like that.

I think what you are seeing or are not seeing is that the trunklid is barely open with a battery charger at the base of it.

Had a great time at INDY. We brought Mr. Motech John Tedder with us and man did he enjoy his self and what a experience he is truely a nice person. He was astonished after winning ss/aa in the seventies to see these cars today. All the cars were fantastic. Way to go Bartons and all the SS?AH racers it was great!

Seems to be the norm. I have noted references to different cars using "bracket engines" for divisional races. Perhaps they don't want to risk hurting their "kill" engines after the shootouts. I've also noted on a few occasions mentioning his dislike of the "bracket racing" that makes up the eliminator. Maybe some others share his feelings on this one.

That is all most Hemi cars are there for. Very little interest in running a AH car in the "bracket" eliminator...

Due to index adjustments and additional weight that has been added to the AH cars the last couple of years, alot of them wouldn't qualify for the 128 car eliminator anyway.
