OOPS! Bad eyes and Crown from Frito. Congrats on the 41 which is very impressive. It is like when Tiger Woods wins the Masters by 17 strokes. You are in another world and the rest of us will have a close race. Let's have coffee in the AM. Stephen

Unfortunately I live in a little different world and am unable to go to the US Nationals or for that matter any of the Hemi Challenge races (well maybe Vegas). None of you will probably ever know how amazing you seem to me and I just want to thank all of you racers and crews for what you are doing. I check your progress almost every day.

Very impressive

Thanks for all your HARD work.

Loren

I'll ask again, what happened to Marvel's purple car? And a new question, where's Bucky, thought I saw his car on the entry list?

Bucky apparently broke an engine recently and did not make it to Indy.

Also, late word out of the pits is that both Westcott entries are broke and will not compete in the Hemi Challenge tomorrow. I am trying to confirm all this now but that is the current rumor.

Yes the Westcotts left. My intel (in the business) is both cars apart in Parma and one will return for the Shootout. As it is without them, Wolk "stud duck" and a bunch of us in the 60's. Should be fun!

I didn't see the mink car. Just starting SS and challenge should be in at about 10:30ish. Weather is 73 and sunny and cloud covered.
No camo cars that I've seen. I'll post some results as I sit here and a bunch ofpics tonight. Nice seeing so many hemi cars and tons of people around them. They really need to be moved where the ps motorcycles are at IMO.

They had a parade of the SS/AH cars during Super Stock and Bartons car caught on fire! From what I could see they got the hood up and put it out before the extinguishers came out. Not a good way to start!

its hard to believe after last years indy race where they took rains motor out and put in charlies car before the finals that they dont carry a spare bullet or 2. i know their spare might not be up to parr with their good ones but at least some kinda spare. not just pack up and go home?

My apologies Raines won in round one. My better half is taking the notes. Victories are right and so should the #s.
Probably a while before next rd.

Round two winners:
Howes 8.59 Kent went red
Barton 8.56 Hebert went red
Pancake 8.63 Raines red
Daniels 8.57 over Perkins 8.53 what a race
Hard 8.60 over Wolk's 8.50 another great race.
I didn't realize but Perkins car is a stick as well as the Missouri mule. Next round in a while.

Here's a great link to motorsports journal...current...it has a current interview with CW explaining his failure yesterday, and also a piece on the Jenkins' prepped car.
