Well I just got back from SEMA and I figured I would update some info about the new aluminum 6.1 blocks that will be available.
They had the new 6.1 HEMI all aluminum crate engine on display at the Mopar booth. The reps at the show didnt have any info on cost or when they would become available..in typical Mopar fashion, its all very secret.
The catalogs they had do have part numbers listed for the aluminum blocks, but no prices.... catalog says available January 2010, but the rep said "dont hold your breath".

426 Aluminum block P5155507
- 4.125 bore...can be bored 0.030 over
Gen III block "semi finnished/rough machine bores etc" P5153898
-semi finnished to 4.140 and can be bored to 4.185
Other than that, the 2 reps I spoke to had no other info.
