I only got one run as the starter drive broke. It ran 1.48 60' 10.50 @ 126.24. This was not the best 60'(1.478) but the ET and mph were. Plugs looked a little rich. Would like ot have gotten another lap. The danged Hoosier radial still vibrated from about 1100' on. Had them balanced and the pinion angle reset before I got there. So I'm done with the radials. Anybody want some 10x30R15 Hoosiers with 7 runs on them. Jim

Way to go Jim, did you lower with the air pressure like we discused, sorry to hear its still vibrating on you with the radials, have you checked the balance on the driveshaft, when you had them balanced, was there any bounceing from the tires, unless you just got a bad tire/tires somehow, i wouldn't blame it just from them being DRs, something is a miss somewhere, & i'll bet the Slicks you were running cushioning it, now that you have a harder tire its showing up.
Glad you got new best though, thats always good

Shaun it was good to meet you as well. Joe the driveline was made new for thos car. It has 11 runs on it and has not been in a situation that would/could have damaged it. U-joints were new. Chip thanks. Jim
Before you off the tires why don't you try one more test to see if you can find the vibration, put the car on four jackstands so it is level like it runs down the track, all four under the suspension, not under the frame. Run it up in each gear slowly to the shift points with the tires on, if it still vibrates then remove the tires and wheels on the rear and try it again(don't forget to tighten all of the lug nuts onto the brake drums to keep the drums on during that test ) If the vibration is gone you know the tires and wheels are causing it. if it deosn't stop vibrating you need to find out what exactly is causing it. I have seen a loose U joint cause that kind of vibrartion only in high gear above 4500 RPM and higher Let us know what you find and do, it may help someone else down the road
