..as far as fit, I have been using an older CSI carbon fiber shield that I bought used from a friend, it is now time to replace this ill fitting pain in the ..., and I am concidering whether to get another or go back to the Stroud blanket and I was curious if the newer shield's fit the tranny case better than the old one's.

Probably not. They are looking a lot alike but with the exception that the retaining belt is permanently bolted to the shield on the new type.
I'd like to get me a new one because my belt keeps getting loose and slipping down.

I like this banket real well.they say the hole for the shifter linkage and the buckles are on the bottom.

maybe I am lucky but I got a CSI shield in May and I had no problem with the fit.

this is a 727 sb
