There are a lot of disc brake conversion kits out there for my 1970 RR. I would like to get input on the kits members have used, I am trying to decide which company to use. I want to use power disc brakes and the RR is equipped with a 440 six pack if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Bang for buck the Viper calipers on the 11.75 cop rotor setup is pretty awesome.

Archer Racing sold me almost new takeoff calipers for around $300, get your caliper adapters from an AREngineering retailer and the rotors are available at the local parts house. All of it bolts to the drum spindle so no need to swap that out.

The cool thing is that it all fits under a 15" steelie for the ultimate stealth! They won't, however fit under a Ralleye wheel.

The later aluminum master cylinder is also a neat upgrade with AR also supplying the adapter.

I'm interested in this setup but am confused (easily done!)...I looked at the ARengineering site and it says their adaptor will work for the 73-76 abody drum brake knuckles..so he would have to swap out his in order for this to work, correct?? (Or am I missing something?)

Info on the website is correct. You need the late model A body drum knuckles for the Viper on 11.75 kit. They are usually cheap to buy though since most people just throw them away. This kit has been out there for years but most folks still don't know that disc brake rotors fit on the late model drum knuckles.

It looks like that will cost me more than I have seen other kits priced at. I wanted to convert to power disc brakes so if I use there product I will be stuck seeking out many more parts than just spindles and calipers.

Has anyone out there converted there B-body if so what kit did you use and do you like it? Is SSBC a good kit?

Thanks for your input in advance
