I get them at napa or the local tranny shop and dont forget the dealer for a good mopar one yes, they can be done that way. just not as easy of an install due to clearance at the floor pan I drop the VB and use a bolt with some washers with a nut to pull it down in the hole use a screw driver from the bottom when VB out to pop the old one out I have dont them with the VB in by droping the xmember and tail down some and used a socket that fits over the shaft to drive the seal in with a hammer dont for get the there is a small seal on the throttle pressure valve stem also,it has an e clip and is an easy one to do with the VB out if its done with the VB in,dont let it drop down with the e clip off.. IMHO,just drop the VB and do both, less work and headache.. did you get the good reusable pan gasket from the dealer??? well worht the 15$ or so for it I have reused mine about 6 times on 2 diff trannys

anybody else knowing 904's)do you know if the front seal on the 904 and the 727 are the same.
The shifter shaft seal is the same, not sure on the front pump seal
The front pump seal is NOT the same .
this trans is on the ground , the seal can be replaced without dropping the pan , carefully pull the seal , KD tools sells a tool to do it in the car and it would be easier with it out ogf the car even without the tool , and drive it back in with a deep socket ...
