Anyone use Summit paint base/clear.....I thought this may be an inexpensive way to get a nice finish on misc. parts that are painted black etc. The price just seems too good.....

I have shot Napa Martien Senior base clear been pretty happy with the results and it is low cost unless you just have a grouchy Napa dealer

I agree the price is tempting. I priced a new tangerine metallic from a Corvette this week in PPG, $849 a gallon. Similar color from summit is less than $100 a gallon. It's a lot of work to sand it flat a second time around if it looks bad.

I have a friend that used it to paint 3 motorcycle tanks. It worked beautifully, and he is picky.
