11.48 with my 408 Dart.

Motor:
.030 over 360 from a 71 pickup ,stroker crank ,eagle rods ,Kieth Black 10 to 1 pistons,Econo W2's Sharp roller rockers,Edelbrock Performer Rpm (wimp)hydraulic cam,Victor intake,750 Demon ,Hedman Fenderwells,MSD ignition.

Trans:
Powerglide ,manual valve body,3000 stall.

Rearend:8 3/4 from the same 71 pickup that the block came from ,with 4.10 gears.

Suspension and tires:
Stock 6 cylinder original springs and torsion bars ,with 15x4 Cragers up front and 15x7 steelies in the back,26x8.5x 15 slicks.

Homeade subframe connectors welded in place .I launch at 2500-2600 and shift at 5800.The car has a best of 11.48 in the 1/4 and 7.27 in the 1/8 and has more in it im sure. You can see in this vid how bad its spinning and costing ET off the line..11's should be easy for your 416 build in a street car...

Just curious why build and spend the extra money for a stroker to go 11's when a good 360 can do it??

11.60 at 116mph w/full exh and 4 mufflers. Street ET tires. 4200lbs with me in it. 360 with 4" Mopar crank. 408 c.i. Home ported junkyard heads. 587 castings. Still has the Leanburn air cleaner on it and cruise control works. Has over 15000 miles on it now and I just added another PRO win in it Saturday night.

no expert but you can do it with a whole lot less rpm and converter and the motor will live longer and be more fun on the street i gues

Friend of mine and his brother both have 410 strokers both of fairly similar build.

360 blocks, .040 over, 4" cast cranks, eagle rods, JE reverse dome pistons, 11-1 compression, crane hydraulic roller cams, holley strip dominator intakes. 1 engine has the indy modified edelbrock heads and the other is out of the box indy heads.

The std edelbrock head engine is in a 67 Coronet, 3.55 gears, 727 auto, 3000 converter, full interior, battery still in engine compartment, car can be driven any where any time. Drives it to the track, leaves it in drive and on MT street radials it runs 11.70's.

Other car is a 64 Valiant, 904 trans, full cage, bench seat, mini tubbed, 3.91 gears, MT street radials, drives it to the track and has run 11.00 without really being tuned yet. They just switched it to 3.55 gears and have not run it again yet.

It only costs a few hundred bucks more to do the 4" crank stroker motor. And the crank is only about $100 more the grinding the 30 year old stock peice. I think it's crazy to not go the stroker route even though I have been 10.20s with a .040 standard stroke 360 at 3100lbs. Now it has run 9.68 at 136 and does this, with a stroker crank 360. Still home ported junkyard heads, 587 castings, .590 flat tappet cam, flat top pistons, and runs on gasoline, 110 octane.

Mines a 408 in a 69 Dart street/strip, 3300#. K-1 steel crank,Comp Star 6.125" H beam rods, Diamond 20 cc dish pistons, ported Edelbrocks, Victor 340, Bigs 950 HP, Hughes flat solid, 260/264 @ .050, .626/.633 lift with 1.6 rockers. With no tuning it ran 6.61 @ 102.24 (1/8) on the only pass I've got it to hook. The compression is only 10.9-1 so I run it on pump 93. It should run mid 10s when it's tuned.

My old hydraulic cammed, pump gas 340 in the same car ran 11.62.

I just figured that it would be cheaper to stroke it than to put even more parts into my 340 to maybe go just as fast. My goal is to atleast hit 11's but Im afraid my 340 will probably only be good for maybe low 13's(build posted earlier in topic). Plus with more cubic inches I have a lot more potential to go even faster.

Im NOT against a stroker motor but when I think of a stroker motor,I dont think of a 11 second car. I would hope a stroker would go 10's, thats all.

Good luck with your build!!!

Any opinions on cams? Im considering either a comp xe275HL or maybe go to a solid with the Comp XS274.

Probably not enough cam for what you want to do. You'll need at least another 10 degrees. And don't worry, these sb strokers make plenty of torque down low, even with a bigger cam.

You can find something better than comp, there selection for mopar is not good and most of there cams have to much duration for a good street strip car.

Would any of the cams in the 240@50 range still be streetable? I want it to have a nice choppy idle but at the same time I dont want to lose a lot of low end torque.
