Has anyone seen or heard of there being water leak issues or head sealing issues with these heads? Or any other kind. Thanks Marty

elvis had to weld up an exhaust port. cnc made it very thin in one spot. also had to put smaller valves in the heads because they touched each other

I bought my 572's used so not sure who ported them, but I had water in a couple cylinders and thought it was a head gasket, it turned out it was a hole from the water jacket into #6 intake port. I fixed it and went out to the last race, and the other head started leaking, I haven't fixed that one yet. They don't flow so great either.

We kept loosing cylinder pressure on # 1 and getting water in there too. Turned out there was a low spot on the head nr the water hole a .020" skim cured it. Heads flow in the high 380's. Chamber work and a 4.50 bore help so I'm told.

Numbers were @ .700, If I remember rightly no improvement above. The guy who ported them said he could probably get a little more at a higher lift but he expected that low / mid lift flow would be compromised. It was a while a go

Hi Dan, not sure if you were including me in this, but, they appear to be CNC ported and then smoothed by hand. The ports are very consistent. We think on mine anyway, that there was some porosity, and it is VERY thin. MPG head service does the machine work for me, and they do alot of engine masters work, and like Scott (owner) said, it's just a big dumb port. I have talked to others around here that have the same heads, and all have epoxied the floor to clean up the port. A lot of work and a lot of $. They tend to stall around .650 lift, and flow around 360 to 380 cfm, before stalling, and dropping.?? With all the water that went thru the engine, you would be surprized how well the pistons I got from you look, they're tuff as nails!
