Don't know about dry sump but I got a 3 qt. on mine. Have he electric valve for pre-lube and hopefully don't ever need it for loss of pressure, but it's there if I do need it.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

You don't really need an accusump with a dry sump. If you're concerned with priming it, just take the belt off and spin it with an electric drill prior to initial startup. The dry sump's design doesn't necessitate an accusump.

two problems with that:
1. my dry sump runs off the oil pump drive, so no belt
2. I am lazy

I agree, I don't really need it & don't want the extra weight
just a nice to have option
was just wondering if 1 quart of oil was enough to pre-oil a big block

thanks

At least 2, 3 if you have space. I know on the Morosos, you won't get 3qt in the 3qt Accusump. More like 2 1/2 depending on how much air pressure charge you use and how much engine oil pressure is. I like them, put the electric valve on it if it doesn't come with one.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I just sold a three quart accumalator to a fellow racer,I'm probally going to regret that soon I would put the three quart in and have it as a reservior in case of a oil pump or oil pump drive failure
