heres the diff.. its not a hemi its not a poly its not a flat head its a wedge head, fire in combustion chamber burns in a wedge shape across the top of piston pushing it down the hole, due to the shape of combustion chamber in relation to the flat top piston,it is a wedge IIRC a max wedge is just faster from under the shadetree bench racing

Some cars got the 6-pack rods, nothing special, just more centrifugal weight IMO. I had the 6-pack rods on a Marine motor that I found, didnt have a 6-pack setup on it though. Found another HP2 block in my hunts and it had regular rods, Whatever they found at the assembly line they threw in.

Six-Pack rods were the same design, just thicker (and heavier). IMO, just more reciprocating mass. If you're going to rebuild it, any newer budget priced H-beam rod is superior to 40 y.o. six pack rods anyway, and the price will be similar to properly re-conditioning and old set.

How about the 440 Hemi? There's a guy with an ad online here that says, "Rare, 440 German Cross Motor". I asked what that was and he said " It's the ones that are stronger than the regular 440's" Never in my life heard of a "german cross 440". A six pack block, but not german cross....
