Its possible the new bolts went through... they would. need to be a fair bit longer.... but anything is possible. Does it look like its coming from the mount area. Put it up on stands and run it in gear and watch it. Hope you find it... thats a strange one. Do you have the vent in the rear... check for the fluid being over filled(check it in neutral)

Under the transmission mount there are two philips head screws that hold a narrow plate that is used to cover the access slot for the rear tail bearing retaining snap ring. Check and see if this plate is tight.

Thanks Turbobitt, I just checked that and it doesn't look like the problem. My tranny has that narrow plate on the side of the tail shaft housing instead of under the tranny mount. It was dry right there, but thanks for the idea.

Thanks for the help Superstockracer, I checked that plug you are talking about and that area was dry also but I apprecciate the idea. The oil seems concentrated at the mount area so I'm starting to think I may have cracked the tail shaft housing when I had to use a little longer bolt . I'll have to drop the exhaust and tranny mount next and see.

cracked tail shaft???? I had one...didn't leak until I was "in it" hard as heck to see too because it's a hair line crack.
Was yours cracked right at the mount or was it some place else on the tail shaft housing? Thanks for the help.
