who uses what and what brand
I have been told to use ATF+3 or Dexron 2
can't find either

I use AMSOIL in mine. Type F before that.

was using ptc, but will be switching back to type f next season. nothing wrong with ptc, type f is easier to get.

another type F user here..and as stated earlier the +3 was superseded by +4...we only use +4 in our 4speed trans(o.d)...for 3 speed's it's typeF....your results may very..as will the responses you get to this question..

I use dex/merc 3, but will get merc 5 next change, because we can't even get 3 at the ford store anymore (let alone 2)

As mentioned plus 3 is now plus 4. Dexron 2 has been gone for 10 years or so.

2 or 3 trannies a year and 4 or 5 converter changes = Type F from BiMart. Can't bring myself to throw away 8$ per quart stuff every 30 to 40 hits. My racer buddy / tranny guru runs the same stuff.
