Finally decided to do something constructive on the duster project so I decided to install the manual steering gear box and pitman arm only the pitman arm that I have appears to be the wrong one!!! The casting # on it is 1858018. and it appears to fit on the box fine but the taper arm for the ball joint is pointing down (which I think is correct) but only fits in the center link if it is pointing up. This car was a factory V-8 car with PS. Do I have to change the pitman arm and the center link to do the convert? Does anyone have a MS car that they can read the casting number off the pitman arm so I can see if the one I have is wrong?

Pretty sure they changed in 73. you'll need to get the matching center link. Hopefully someone else can confirm.
