juss curious charlie, whats the best your dads ever went in 60?
1.21
The martin 60 clocks are .02 slow. that track has 61.5 foot 60 foot clocks. We measured them last year after trying to figure out why the 60's were slow. Prior to the 1.16 I had saturday, my best ever there was 1.18.
I have wondered that for years(60 foot clocks)that said, my car 60 foots the same "02 slow" even at the IHRA northern nats. i always assumed IHRA brought in their own timing equipment, must be they dont.
I went 1.343 there saturday, and best anywhere else previously had been 1.341, so i must have been 60 footing actually 1.32 ish so many bracket racers have said the same thing you are saying, Charlie, i am surprised they havent addressed it.

The "top" ones fall somewhere in that range.
A lot depends on the dyno. Some read a little happier than others.

So why everybody talking about Westcott?? Who care about that Westcott is the "FASTEST" or "BEST ENIGINE BUILDER".. Talk about someone else like Jeff from Modern Cyl is a cool guy..
Joe D.
You ask who cares who is fastest? You also ask who cares who is the best engine builder? The fact is in Super Stock/AH they go hand in hand....Heads up ..all on the line racing...And while Jeff may (as it seems ) to be a friend of yours, it has been the Wescotts (both of them) that have dominated this class for the last several years... That alone is going to get all the attention, from fans as well as media...
My good buddy Don Bales unveiled the most awesome SS Barracuda at this years U.S. Nationals this year..Dubbed the "Silver Bullet". It was built by Mike Roth (MR2 Motorsports) and is by far the most over the top Super Stocker most have ever seen.It looks like a show car more than a race car... All who have seen it are extremely impressed, and it may get some magazine coverage.. It should be awarded best enginerred, as well as best appearing every where it goes..
Bucky Hess also brought his beautiful freshly painted Cuda to Indy. On the way a golf cart broke loose in the hauler and cruched the front end of the car.... All news worthy stories.... But when all was said and done it was all about who was fast and who won!!!!
And it appears going fast and building the best Hemi are what everyone want to talk about!!!!

Thanks for the response.
Now if Mr. Westcott would be so kind as to post his top dyno sheets.
And that would mean nothing. Dyno sheets mean nothing... They really only have value to the person building the motor, and looking for gains in HP. Comparing dyno sheets, is like comparing time slips at different tracks, and events. The only numbers that matter are the ET slips at the event you are racing everyone else. I think Charlie, and his Dad have the chassis figured out way better then everyone else to make the car ET. Installing a customers motor in his own, and running the number proves that, it's not just being able to make the power that is important.

charlie joe didnt question your abilities, there was no need to question tony's,, he has been under financial hardship due to trying to make the nsca float,, joe was just trying to stir discussions and thoughts about others in this class.
I wasnt questioning anyones abilities. I was asking legitimate questions. I am interested in other peoples progress. they have several cars in their stable. Leiter, Gifford, Russ that bought wilkes car, Bob buntin, I just wondered if these cars will ever come out. cw
