What exactly did it do? How was it wired up? Would you shut off the ignition and headlights in a sequence for the headlights to remain on with the doors open and then close after a duration of time passed?

Google a wire diagram. I think if you leave the lights on then turn the key off the doors will stay open even if you hit the switch.

optional in all Bodies... I think also to A bodies.

But don't really know on 68/69 Chargers, since doors are vacuum instead electrical. I'm not sure if you can control vacuum with electrical impulse on these cars being Vacuum swiths is a mechanical action parallel with the electrical section when you push the rocker, and not an electrical impulse what makes the vacuum works

I wasnt going to install it on my 69...I had a 70 R/T and I sold it. I found a box of parts today and it was thrown in there....it goes to the Ebay pile unless my buddy with his 71 Challenger can put it to good use.

My 70 Fury has it too, Turn the key off with the lights on & the headlight door & lights stay on for about 30 - 45 seconds then go out. Course you turn the headlight switch off after turning the key off or the parking lights will stay on.

When you turn the key back on the doors will cycle to the closed position, Headlights still off until you turn them back on.

Wow, I should try this on my GTX. I never knew that was an option on '70's, I may have it.

Of course I think I've only used my headlight two or three times in the last 10 years.
