AAR is $330.00
VFN is $110.00
Glasstek is $180.00

i want a good one but how much better is AAR's quality? thanks Larry

A lot of guys on here like AAR so they must be pretty good.
I own a VFN hood and could not be happier. I got it on schedule and it fit right out of the box. We literally drilled the holes for the dzus fasteners and put it on the car, no trimming needed at all.

They were very nice to deal with also, so I always suggest VFN when asked.

I have AAR fenders for my Duster and Glasstek everything else. The quality is about equal to Glasstek's. Not sure the quality is that much better for the price.

I've got a buddy who got a ton of stuff from VFN and has been very happy with it too.

i have bought 2 different AAR hoods, and a decklid...they needed zero trimming, and were perfect fitting pieces. i am in the middle of trimming and fitting a VFN hood. so far, about 3 hours into it.

AAR quality is way above VFN

vfn is top quality.only drawback is you would have to use the original style maxwedge j bolts to hold it to the hood.aar is also topshelf but way more expensive and alot heavier.personally i like walt`s at w/s racing.had vfn and w/s and liked walts flange for mounting to the hood.if you are doing a resto type car, then use the vfn

I would say glasstek and AAR are pretty close in fit and quality thats for sure. I have seen some VFN stuff, and like some have said, it can be dead on or need alittle work. I would go with Glasstek for the price you have listed. I have AAR on my car, but wouldnt hesitate to by the other 2 either. Actually VFN makes the decklid for my car, which will be a purchase soon enough. AAR is definitely heavier, but you can drive it on the street to and not be to worried.

Front challenger bumper from AAR, one end was bent in, they said it gets like that from taking it out of the mold.
They said what do expect, its fiberglass, live with it.
Very thin, poor finish overall.
I bought it from them and had it shipped here because everyone on here talked so highly of them.
I could have drove to VFN or Glasstek, saved $$ and a better product.

Interesting... I just got my AAR hood for my dart and I had to sand on the sides in the front just to get it to close..... its definately gonna need squared....

Wish I knew what brand mine is as it was given to me. I can tell you it is not flimsy as it is thick glass and heavy for a glass hood scoop as I think it weighs as much as the glass hood. But I like it as it is strong and wont bend. Maybe someone has an idea of what brand it is. It was given to me in return for a favor I did. Ron

what about Glasstek vs. VFN?
I want to get a lower front panel, upper front panel and fenders for an Ebody `Cuda
Glasstek ends up costing 135 bucks more but maybe because VFN makes lighter weight parts?

I know both are good companies. I have a Glasstek trunk lid and leaning towards them
just want to justify the price difference
thanks
