Put 3 inch mangnaflows 43041 40 series on the belvedere. With the 4000 stall, 4:30 gears and 263/270 at .050 it just screams getting out of the driveway and getting up to speed, At 3800+ It starts thinking about cleaning up. I like my neighbors and am hoping they will continue to like me. It is loud. cant even hear what my engine is doing. Help. Galen

You could add resonators into the tailpipes, OR replace the mufflers with something more conventional.

Don't know any other options

It might take an X pipe and some type of resonator mufflers in the rear tailpipes. Not sure what to recommend for the main mufflers but prior posters have been unhappy w magnaflows & OK w dynomax?? iirc. Might see if you can do a search.

Dynomax Hemi Super Turbo Mufflers. They flow great and are quiet enough for a convertible.

A 43041 40 series muffler is a Flowmaster, not a Magnaflow. If you don't like them, get some Magnaflows and you'll be happier. CHIP

I have the Flow Delta 70s. I don't know if they still make them but they are designed for a Diesel truck. They sound excellent, nice drone at speed on the freeway.

I bought those Super Hemi Mufflers but they came with a 2 1/4" in/out....I ended up selling them. Best thing to do is search on Youtube for your setup as close as you can get it with the descriptions posted, and listen for a drone you like...

yes Flowmaster was the one I was thinking of that quite a few prior posters were unhappy with.

I run Summits stainless muffler on my 65 440.It exits in front of the rear wheels. Its 3 inch has great flow not loud.My 440 is pushing close to 600 hp.I have 3 inch with an X pipe.If it was run out the back it would be even quiter.Plus the polished stainless wont rust and they look great at like 70 bucks each.Rocky

Without an X pipe it'll never be quiet (enough)

I have been running the "Hemi" Dynomax Super Turbos on my street car for years and they sound good, and quieter than most. I got the 17769 (20" long shell) which is 3" in/out to go with my TTI system.

Sorry guys, my mistake. They are flowmasters. I will do a little research. I am very limited on room for an X pipe. I appreciate the ideas. Now time to do a little research. And as far as being too old if its too loud, Thats what the electric dumps behind the collectors are for

My vote goes with dynomax something 3 inch 3" equalizer pipe minimum or better X pipe!
The only complaints I ever get with my ultra flow 3" welded with x pipe is Quote "those mufflers are too quite"
Kids like the Flow bastards but they have hearing loss from Rap music and serious tastes issues!!

Anybody under 38 and 1/2 is a kid! LOL!!
when I was in my late forties early fifties dad would say this guy at a car show yata yata and I would say how old a guy. Dad would say a young guy I would think OK someone in their twenties then he would say a young guy around your age!! LOL!! It's all perspective!!!

I dumped my flowmasters on my Cuda for the Summit SS's and was very happy!
