I put one in my stroked (3.51) 340. Let me say, I loved it at first, but it is kind of obnoxious.

My Barracuda has TTI headers $ exhaust with 50 series flowmasters.

The performance is excellent, but I haven't got any data to give you. Just seat of the pants, and it pulls hard.

My brakes are manual disc conversion, so the cam has no effect on them.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

I have no experience with this cam but I have Hughes Whiplash cam. The sound is AWESOME and it definitely added performance.

We also have the whiplash cam in a low compression 340 A body and like it very much. Street dress 3.91 gear 727, runs 13.20s and sounds sweet. Plenty of vacuum for power brakes. Take a look and listen to this.

I posted over on the truck section about this. I am looking at the thumper cam too. That word 'roller' sounds expensive to me. The videos on the barracuda seem pretty convincing.

if your not starting with a roller block,it can be for a full retro roller cam set up.

I started with a roller block and used all stock roller gear,1/2 the price that way.

the whiplash is for stock Low CR engines, and street driving.

thunder need high CR,stall,gears,intake,carb,headers..ect..ect..

I will be getting me a set of those magnum muffs also

the vid lew posted

street nasty right there

thanks for the compliments, it's a real fun car to drive, very well mannered, don't think we'll be stalking any Z06's any time soon though.

what i thought was cool was on the riverside passes you can hear 3rd gear chirp, can't hear it in the car.

Thanks! Car launches hard with no stall and pulls hard to 5500. My dad (Lew) and I are very happy with it's sound and performance. We have said several times that if for some reason this cam wipes, we would replace it with the exact same cam.

8.5:1 compression 340
stock J heads
whiplash cam
Performer RPM intake
750 CFM Holley w/ manual secondaries
factory points with stiffer springs

727 w/ B&M Transpak
factory stall
391 gears with a suregrip.

Ran a best of 13.26 @ 103 1/4 and 8.51 @ 82. This was with a serious traction problem on our 215/70/14s.
