Recently bought a 53 Dodge Coronet convertible from family of original owner. It has been in storage since 1965 and is a veritable time capsule. It has its original Red Ram engine with Gyro-Torque transmission. Original paint (believe to be special-ordered DeSoto Ceramic Yellow, since Dodge apparently never offered a yellow), top & interior. Some rust on one quarter needs repaired. Paint & top are probably not good enough to keep it as a survivor in those regards, but hope to keep everything else as original as possible.

My first car in 1964 was a 53 Coronet Red Ram sedan & I cannot ever recall having seen another convertible (although supposedly 4100 were built & there are pictures of two others on the internet).

Just wanted to share my find. Will share some photos if I can get them to load.

Yep, i would do a little maintenance on it to keep it cruising and leave the rest alone.
