Just wondering if anyone else had this problem, have a 68 barracuda with a small block pump gas naturally aspirated true street car with calvert mono leaf springs, caltracs with qa1 single adjustible shocks on a 10" tire.Car has a bad hop at about the 330mark, wondering if double adjustible shocks would actually get rid of the hop or not? Had the car in mission b.c canada last weekend and ran its best ever, 9.52@142.82mph with a 1.393 sixty foot. Thanx

Have you tried different settings on them to see
if it changes.... are your tires round and balanced

Yeh i have tried different setting from softer to the hardest.Balancing the tires I think is a bit of a grey area, because I thought that when you leave the line the tire is so wrinkled that it wouldnt matter on balancing, because if its balanced it forsure isnt when leaving the line. But maybe it could be part of the problem?

I know balance sure helps down track(at least it does
on my car). Sure balance doesnt matter at the line,
your not turning them fast enough to see it...
By the way I use the QA-1 singles but havent seen
your issues

Is this hop occurng at the shift into second gear? or in the middle of second gear? I had a set of tires that would shake at around 70 MPH and again at 117 to 121 MPH in the quarter I would get the tires balance and take it back out to see if it(hop) is still there

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
