These were on my 70' Challenger door panels when I got it [1980]. They seemed to look "original" at the time from what I remember. Anyone else ever see these?

There was carpet on the lower panels. The car is not "SE". Those came on SE cars? If so, then someone must have added them on mine.

Any Challenger equipped with an extra cost optional interior would have those and the carpeted lower door panel.

All above posts are true. I have also heard of this option finding its way onto cars at the factory that had no such option selected. Probably one of those "just grab a part" during assembly instances. Or maybe somebody swapped out door panels at some point.

I have the build sheet. Is there a code on it that would show if they belong on the car?

The door panels DID have carpet on the lower portions, frt & rear. It did not have all the exterior chrome though. The car had blacked out lower area from the front fender to the rear bumper over the body color.

Were these reflectors with black carpet on white door panels in your R/T?

The STANDARD white interior in a '70 Challenger R/T would be H6XW.

The odd thing is ........... the carpet and reflectors are a SE and/or upgraded non-SE interior (leather or cloth/vinyl) item & there are NO white door panel SE interiors!

Do you still have the panels and/or carpet?

STANDARD Challenger & Challenger R/T door panel at the start of the '70 model year:

STANDARD 1970 Challenger SE & R/T SE door panel:

During the model year (?? around November '69 ??) a woodgrain insert found its way onto all non-SE Challenger interiors. Now with a "fratzog" emblem in place of the "Special Edition" script of the SE. The "naked" door panels would return for use in the A93 - Challenger Deputy cars that arrived in the spring of '70:

OPTIONAL door panel included with an UPGRADED interior in a Challenger or Challenger R/T (Leather and/or Cloth & Vinyl):

A normal H6XW door panel for a post 11/69 Challenger / Challenger R/T:

The door panels are on the car. I filled in the holes from the screws in the early 90's and redyed the panels white[they had yellowed].Threw the carpet away too [I thought someone had added it] My panels look like your first picture. All white though. The carpet was black that I took off.
White interior for my car meant white seats, headliner, door panels.
Dash, carpet, rear shelf panel are black and console too.
