Need some opinion's. My son is 8 and at first wanted no part of driving a jr. Now he does. I have looked at a few but not sure whats best to buy. I was chatting with Vernmotor alittle bit last night and was asking him about a car I was looking at. Thanks for the help Vern. Anyways, at first I was all about having to have a complete car now I am thinking maybe I could get a better deal on a roller or even a better jr. So what kind of chassis should I be looking for. Thanks for the help.

There are a lot of manufacturers out there that build a good car..half scale, KCS, Bos, spitzer, motivational tubing, keir, quick kids, and hardens to name a few. Definitely go with a chrome moly car. I never trust anyone else's motors so I would rather get a roller and build my own motor. I ran a jr from '99 to '05; would definitely recommend it to anyone.

There have been a # of good deals on RJ latley as kids grow out of the Novice class.

A CM could last the entire career but will cost more and you have trouble fitting a small driver into a car made for a larger driver hoping they will someday grow into it.

A MS car will sufice up untill they are 13 and can go 7.90's I've evn seen cars being sold W/ both 8.90 and 12.90 motors as a pakage.

You can usually get a nice MS beginer for less than a CM car and not be out to much if your kid changes his mind.

I'm sure Jamie mentioned Jr Dragster plus and JR Drags. If not I can post the links later.
