I am confused as to the paint codes for the 1969 plymouth roadrunners. I see they made a K2 but they also have another orange that is 99 or 98E. What is the difference? Is there a difference in paint color for a 1970 Vitamin C Roadrunner? Any help would be appreciated

EK2 = Vitamin C / Gomango Orange. Code 99 is the code for a "special" paint color and does not signify any specific color

There were 2 different oranges. Vitamin C and Hemi orange. Difference was Hemi orange has a fine metallic in it. Vitamin C doesn't.

I found this on the tcp global website. They had two orange colors listed and wasn't sure which one. They have Vitamin C but the orange 999 looks more like what I had on my roadrunner. Maybe it is just the color swatch.

not quite ...... both "production" colors were metallic!
(E)K2 - vitamin C metallic ('69-'70)
(E)V2 - tor red metallic ('69-'72)
999 - special order paint
------ one "special order paint" in '69 is "Omaha orange" (it is non-metallic)

Is your car 99 or 98E or K2 & what's your cars SPD & which plant was it assembled at?

So if I were going to order paint from this company would I ask for EK2 or (K2-Swatch)? I am not trying to be a pest I am just trying to make sure I get the right color.

Thanks!

If you want "K2", you want to ask for 1969 ("E") Chrysler/ Plymouth "K2".

You can also ask for it by the Ditzer number (2201), again stating it is for 1969 Chrysler/Plymouth.
