I'm looking to buy some rear quarter panel repair patches.
I need the small lower area in front of the driver's rear wheel and the lower quarter panel patch for the passenger side.

I don't see any patch panels listed from AMD, only full quarter panels.
I do see some on E-bay and at some other vendors's sites and there seems to be a big difference in price.

Are all these patch panels made by the same company or is there some that are thicker metal and fit better?

Thanks.

I bought AMD lower rears from Stephen's Performance for my 70 Challegner about 2 months ago. They look really good. I did notice the rear side marker area is just slightly larger than the original holes so I'm going to ask the body guy to make sure he keeps my Original marker cut outs when he put's in the panel. All of my rust is very low on the panel and should not be a problem.

My body guy says he will just make the patch panels for the lower front (in front of the rear wheels) area.

Ok Kevin. Here is a pic of the whole panel.

Here is a pic to give you a better idea of where it will end on your car. You can see I have some rust that it will not cover and will have to deal with. I know I had seen some pics in the past of a longer panel that went up over the wheel further but I don't think the quality of it would be as good as this. This is panel is a good thickness and weight.

Here is a pic of the light area with an inset of my original. It may be hard to see but you can see the curve of the lines at the recess on the new panel aren't as tight as the original. The marker really doesn't move around in the original opening but I can slide it up and down and side to side a little in the AMD panel.

Finally, I noticed that the bottom of the lip (where I marked in yellow) is narrower on the patch than on the original.

Thanks for the pictures that's exactly what I was hoping to see.
This is the patch panel that I've been looking at so far.

Do you remember how much the patch panel you bought cost?

The panel you pictured is the one I saw originally and I like the way it goes up over the wheel more BUT don't think it is made as well as this.

The AMD panels are 170.00 each. You can see if they have them and if they will meet you at a nearby car show. That way you can save some shipping. That is what I did.

I was thinking from the price and supplier the patch I pictured is probably not very good quality.
From what I can see I'm only going to need the very bottom of the quarter panel, the rest is real nice.
I wonder if AMD makes just the very bottom.
