nest time I am over at john baughmans junkyad I'll ask about S&S guys. I am sure they ar buddies. the baughmans boys car was an S&S car. in fact I'll ask the baghmans why tey aren't racing

no, there is no rule to enforce. I have said it before, and I will say it one more time. The 8.49 rule doesnt apply to us anymore than it applies to scott goves car that went 7.90 something in ss/am. the mod cars go faster than we do, and they have the same chassis rules we do. they have been in the low 8's for 5 years.
I am not worried about it, and the only ones who are are ripoff chassis builders that want to update cars. my old jalopy will be just fine.

The 8.49 and quicker 25.5 sfi spec absolutely does not apply to the Superstock class in general. People keep bringing up Bo Butner getting kicked out of the divisional at Indy in his comp car and trying to compare that somehow to superstock ah needing to upgrade. Butner went quicker than 7.50 not 8.50. His car needed to be upgraded from 25.5 to 25.2.

the 25.5 spec applied to ss/am as of jan 1 07 my avenger will not recertify for quicker than 8.50 untill i get the updates done.

Merry Christmass to all. I love the SS/AH Hemi cars and they are awesome to watch. I was at the Dutch Classic at Maple Grove this year and I gotta say it was some show. Larry Woo's car was running good and the Warfish cars put on one heck of a show. I love this pic of Sox and Jenkins from the good old days. I still love the attitude of Sox's car even today. Ron
