i got 74 cuda with 440 msd 6al with pro billet dist and march proformance serpintine pulley and belts with a "one" wire altenator that has a built in voltage reg from march. if anyone got similar setup do i still need my factory volt regulator? had 6al hooked up correct and something burnt up my reg,blowed fuse at relay, and blowed my 6al also! any suggestions

I don't believe in one wire alternators BUT all the wiring from the old regulator should have been unhooked and taped. It charges one field wire with 12 V on a 2 field system and the only wire on a one field system it likely shorted out??
