finally got the valve covers done, and new wires for new design front drive distributor. If you notice no spacers are needed to clear the water pump like the other engine pic on here. Just a little appearance if anyone wants it.
Hope to run it tomorrow.

Ya that was one of them . The last time I saw that car was at my grandfather Jim Ronaghan's funeral . My father Albert and Jim campaigned the Old Trapper cars thought the 60's and 70s . We went to California and picked up a cuda earlier this year and have it ready for a cage now. But my job and the other cuda will make for a hectic work schedule. I will post pictures when I start the cage .

....Charlie, on your new valve covers, can I ask you what is there main purpose is? I'm sure it is fun to look at while the engine is idling but other than that what are you looking for? I guess if you pop a pushrod or hurt some rocker gear you would know what side it is on but other than that???

Inquiring minds would like to know.

Thanks for everything.

I started making them when we started oiling through the pushrods to see how that worked. and you can see if your oil is clean. It also fixes some clearance issues with the rockers.

Many engines builders do this for a few reason. One of the reason is so cylinders 5 and 7 are not firing next to each other...trying to keep them from cross firing.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Charlie,

I made a production run of brackets for the Jesel stuff that solved the water pump clerance issue. I changed the distributor bracket so it mounted to the motor plate and then lengthened it a bit to clear the new reverse flow Meziere pump. I also added an adjustable TDC pointer to the crank trigger mount. Shoot me a PM and I'll get you a set of parts to look at if you're interested.

I think that is a 4 or 5-axis CNC milling machine. It looks like that will save a lot of fitting and welding of all the pieces. Two of those and weld the plenum on and you're almost done.

Anybody got any pics of the SS/AH that Tony Depillo was driving this year. Was it a stick or auto?

What trans is he running in the Cuda? My Buddy is building a AH car, and wants to run a stick, but wants to know which ones hold up to 900hp.
